Splitting Titles is the process of dividing the title deeds of one building into two or more. As a result, that one property becomes two, three or multiple distinct properties all with their own title number registered at the Land Registry.

It can be a very useful step in many situations, be it as for a business owning a large premises but only utilising part of it and seeking to attain sale or rental income from the excess space, or for property investors seeking to increase the yield of a property they own.

It is also possible to effect the same outcome for plots of land. If multiple houses are built on a plot, then these can be registered individually, creating multiple titles across the plot.
