A huge well done to two of our team who have both recently completed their first marathon events.
Child care and domestic abuse specialist solicitor Claire Rowley ran in this year’s London Marathon successfully completing the gruelling challenge in 5hrs 34 minutes and 28 seconds. Claire started running as a hobby in 2010 and had previously completed 10K events in Preston and Manchester before being allocated a place for the London Marathon for which she began training back in September last year. In spite of the post marathon aches and pains, Claire is already setting her sights on next years Great North Run as the next event on her bucket list.
Another member of our Family Law team also recently completed her first half marathon in Manchester in a time of 2 hours and 59 Seconds. Sharon started running with local running club Blackburn Road Runners http://www.blackburnroadrunners.net/ who encourage people of all abilities to take up running whether for competition or just to keep fit and healthy. Sharon was joined on the Manchester run by her brother in law and fellow running club member who distracted her through the pain barrier with his cheese string fancy dress costume!
Watson Ramsbottom Director and Head of Family Law Rachel Horman said “We are all really proud of Claire and Sharon’s achievements – it’s inspiring to work in a team with people who have such strength and determination.”
