The 2014 Remember a Charity in Your Will Week which ran from 8th to 14th September was the most successful to date according to the campaign organisers. The campaign received extensive press coverage in national publications and significant attention on social media networks including a tweet from Lord Alan Sugar.
Watson Ramsbottom Solicitor & Director Patrick Swanney commented ” We have been pleased to support the national Remember a Charity week along with other local campaigns supporting the North West Air Ambulance and the WillAid campaign which runs until the end of November 2014. Research shows that 74% of the UK population support charities yet only 7.4% leave a legacy to charity when making a will. It is estimated that a 4% increase in that figure could lead to an additional £1billion for UK charities and we are pleased to support the idea of making legacy giving a social norm.”
