Anne Caswell
Solicitor & Director
Anne is a Director and Solicitor and works in the Private Client department. Anne heads up Watson Ramsbottom’s Pontefract Office which has retained the name Carters. She joined Carters in 1986 after completing her Law Society Final Exams in Leeds, qualifying as a Solicitor two years later.
During her many years at Carters Anne has drafted hundreds if not thousands of Wills, and has dealt with more estates than she can remember. Anne also acts for clients as Attorney and Court of Protection appointed Deputy. In her administrative roles Anne has been responsible for guiding the firm through numerous legal aid changes and obtaining Law Society Lexcel and CSQ accreditation. What Anne enjoys most is helping clients gain a knowledge and understanding of Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney using non-legal jargon. As most of her clients know she comes from Barnsley where plain speaking is expected.
