
Carrie Hyde

Carrie joined us in October 2020 working initially as a paralegal before becoming a Trainee Solicitor and then qualifying as a solicitor within our family department.
Having completed her LLB in 2019 at the University of Chester, Carrie worked part time as a paralegal at a practice in Manchester within their continuing healthcare and personal injury teams, whilst studying for her LPC at the University of Law.
In her Masters’ dissertation she specialised on the effects of Surrogacy law and the changes to Parental Orders for people who are not biologically related to a child and wish to be a single parent.
Having joined us in our family department, Carrie specialises in cases of domestic abuse and both public and private children law. Carrie has specialisms in Legal Aid and has worked on cases representing clients where there are allegations of very serious abuse, parental alienation, appeals, Finding of Fact Hearings and many more. Carrie has also worked on cases in obtaining parental responsibility for parents.
Carrie works with many local and national charities in providing pro bono clinics, as well as having set up a emergency refuge packages for new refuge residents.
