Emily Christodoulou joined Watson Ramsbottom in 2019 as a Risk and Compliance Assistant after previously working abroad! Emily is half Cypriot half Swedish and had studied International Tourism Management in Sweden for 3 years which consisted of a combination of Tourism and Business courses, before moving on to her first job in Cyprus as an Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Assistant at a Cyprus Investment Firm.

After realising this was the role she wanted, Emily had then moved to the UK, working for several businesses before joining us here in 2019. Emily’s role is to ensure there are effective procedures in place to respond to, manage, monitor, and identify risks; develop and maintain effective day-to-day systems, processes and procedures relating to risk management awareness and good practice. Most of her daily work also consists of dealing with and resolving client’s complaints. On the 10th November 2022, Emily successfully completed the Law Society’s Risk and Compliance (Foundation) Accreditation Exam.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two cats, as well as reading cooking books and experimenting in the kitchen. On top of this, Emily also enjoys going out for food, traveling and exercising (Now living in Cyprus, Emily works from the comfort of her own home).
