Sophia Isa

Solicitor and Director

Sophia Isa is a solicitor and director specialising in cases involving disputes in respect of the living and contact arrangements for children. In recent years, she has enjoyed a growing practice in international children law cases. These include being instructed by parents who wish to relocate abroad with their children, whether temporarily or permanently.

Sophia has experience of acting in cases where there has been a history of drug and alcohol misuse, and domestic abuse as well as allegations of parental alienation. Sophia has also advised and represented parents on applications about specific issues in a child’s upbringing where there is a disagreement between the parents. Sophia represents clients who are survivors of domestic abuse.

Sophia is able to obtain non-molestation and occupation orders including making urgent applications to the Court.  She has a particular expertise in obtaining Forced Marriage Protection Orders for clients. Sophia has interest in FGM cases. Sophia qualified as a solicitor in 2006. She is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour based violence and is a supervisor within our Family Department.

In February 2022 she was appointed to our board of directors. Sophia understands that family law disputes are often extremely stressful for clients. She takes a pragmatic yet sensitive approach to each case. She carries out her own advocacy where possible.
