Stuart Maher

Operations Director

Stuart is the Operations Director at Watson Ramsbottom and is primarily responsible for managing the operational and strategic risk of our rapidly expanding regional law firm, and delivering our ambitious growth plans.

He is also the head of our Private Client Department, having developed a detailed specialism in Wills and Probate, Tax Planning, Powers of Attorney and Care Fee advice.

Stuart has a particular expertise in preparation of Trusts and Inheritance Tax planning and advising clients on reducing liability to future residential care charges. He leads our team of exceptional lawyers to provide solutions to our client’s needs in later life. Together they drive the Watson Ramsbottom initiative to provide comprehensive Wills & Estate Planning reports to clients of the practice to ensure they are informed of the options available.

He is a Full Member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP). STEP is a leading worldwide professional body for practitioners in the fields of trusts, estates and related issues and its members help families secure their financial future and protect the interest of vulnerable relatives. STEP also promotes the highest professional standards through education and training, leading to widely respected professional qualifications.
