Director Stuart Maher and Solicitor Michael Perrin were delighted to visit the site of the new playing facilities for Great Harwood Rovers Football Club at Heymoor Farm, Great Harwood.
Watson Ramsbottom have assisted the club since they first moved to their original pitches at Lyndon House in 2006, and have continued to work closely with the club for the last 3 years in assisting in the move to their new purpose built facility several hundred yards from their original home. The newly constructed pitches and under-construction changing facilities are a fabulous resource for the club and the town and community of Great Harwood.
Club officials gave Michael and Stuart a tour of the new facility this week, and thanked Watson Ramsbottom on behalf of all of their members, parents and junior players for their charitable assistance with this major long-term project.
Solicitor Michael Perrin commented: ‘It’s great to see the project coming to fruition, and once the changing rooms are completed the town and local community will have a facility that is second to none for junior football and recreation generally. It’s pleasing on a personal level to see all the work put in over the years by all involved produce such a fantastic outcome.’
Solicitor and Director, Stuart Maher, said on the partnership between the practice and Great Harwood Rovers: ‘It’s fantastic that we are able to support local amateur sport in this way, and to be playing our part at different levels of sport, both at the elite level of the professional game with Blackburn Rovers, but also at the grassroots with Great Harwood Rovers Junior Football Club.
“We are committed to ensure that grassroots sport continues to thrive, and our work together with the committee of Great Harwood Rovers has ensured that the club has a great facility to play multiple, different age group football matches. We hope that together through our continued work, we will someday see a cohort of players playing at the highest level of the game.”
Many members of the team at Watson Ramsbottom support grassroots sport at different levels, including Stuart & Michael who are the Chairman and Treasurer respectively of Great Harwood Cricket Club.
