Watson Ramsbottom are pleased to announce that we have teamed up with Cancer Research UK’s free Will Writing scheme, to help beat cancer sooner. By leaving a gift in your Will to Cancer Research you help to take another step towards beating cancer.
Making a Will can be a daunting task, but it is a vital document that ensures that your loved ones and the charities you support are looked after once you are gone. Cancer Research UK’s ‘Free Will Service’ makes it as simple as possible for you to look after your family, friends, and any charities that you support.
The scheme will only take place at our Great Harwood office and is open to everybody that is aged 55 and over. Those that take up this offer will be asked to consider leaving a legacy gift to Cancer Research UK to help support their vital work.

Many of us have friends or family who have been affected by this devastating disease, so we are proud to offer this important free service.”
One in two of us are diagnosed with cancer in our lifetime. Fortunately, thanks to the wonderful research, survival rates have doubled to 2 in 4 people in less than 50 years. But more can be done – with your help Cancer Research UK wants 75% of people to survive cancer by 2034.
To reach this aim, Cancer research UK needs donations to continue. Currently a third of their funding comes from gifts left in Wills. Your legacy gift will support research into preventative measures, earlier diagnoses and better treatments. Gifts in Wills fund over a third of Cancer Research UK’s pioneering research so it is a vital source of income for the charity.
