Watson Ramsbottom would like to send a heartfelt thanks to all of our clients who participated in the Will Aid charity scheme in 2017. Your generous donations have helped the firm raise an amazing £3,345 for the Will Aid charities during the campaign. This, added to previous fundraising for the same cause over the last decade and beyond, has helped to raise an astronomical figure of £24,990.
Our Solicitors and Lawyers volunteered their time and skills to write Wills for local people and collectively managed to raise this total for good causes, whilst in turn helping these clients secure the future for their loved ones.
WR Director & Solicitor Stuart Maher said of the campaign: “It was great to see so many clients wanting to take part and I would like to thank the team here at Watson Ramsbottom for their hard work and extended hours. We are delighted to have raised so much money for the Will Aid charities, and our fundraising success is a testament to the generosity of those people who came forward to have their Will written under the scheme during November and we would like to thank them all.”
Will Aid is the UK’s leading charity Will-writing scheme. The solicitors who join offer their time and expertise without charge to give everyone the opportunity to make or update their basic Will in return for a donation to help people in need in the UK and all over the world. This money is shared by nine well-known UK charities: ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF (Scotland) and Trocaire (Northern Ireland).
