The Will Week Scheme invites people to put their finances in order and ensure their wishes are carried out by making a Will during the week that is held in October, when the effective cost of the Will is donated to the Hospice instead of being paid to the solicitor during this time.
Director and Head of the Wills and Probate team, Stuart Maher, remarked “We are delighted to be involved again for this wonderful cause, raising such a large amount in such a short time for a very charitable organisation.
“Many supporters of the Hospice who took part in the Will Week also took advantage of our Free Wills & Estate Planning report service at the same time. Uniquely at Watson Ramsbottom, we offer this service which identifies both your intentions and the outcomes you wish to achieve on your death and sets out the options available to you free of charge and without obligation.
We are looking forward to being involved again this year and hope that many more people can take advantage of the scheme to raise valuable funds for the Hospice.”
Income Generation and Marketing Manager Sharon Crymble said “Although the ‘Special Way Of Caring’ that we provide costs in excess of £3.7 million each year, we are told by our patients and their families that the difference it makes is pricesless. As a local charity we could not make this difference without the support of schemes such as the annual Will Week, that helps us to raise the money needed and we are truly grateful to Watson Ramsbottom Solicitors for giving their time freely during this event to support the hospice and our patients. “
