Hospice Will Week 2013
Director Stuart Maher hands over a cheque for £2,050 to Sharon Crymble, of East Lancashire Hospice

Solicitors across East Lancashire gave up their time to help raise funds to care for the patients of East Lancashire Hospice by providing Will in return for a donation and Watson Ramsbottom who have offices in Accrington, Great Harwood, Blackburn and Darwen raised an incredible £2050.

Stuart Maher, Director and Head of the Wills & Estate Planning team at Watson Ramsbottom, Solicitors who have 4 high-street offices throughout East Lancashire said:

‘We are delighted to have been involved with the Hospice’s Will Week, and are pleased that it has been such a success. We are looking forward to being involved next year and hope that many more people can take advantage of the scheme In October 2014 to raise valuable funds for the Hospice.

‘Making a Will is something which is off-putting for many, but it is a painless process and there are a number of other matters that should be considered when making a Will, such as care fee planning. A properly drafted and well-structured Will can ring-fence some of your assets from liability to residential care fees, whilst still ensuring your assets pass to your loved ones on the event of your death.’

Hospice Fundraising Manager Sharon Crymble said, We are very grateful to Watson Ramsbottom for being involved in ‘Will Week’ since it started in 2010 and along with our participating solicitors, raise  in excess of £20,000. This goes a long way in helping us to care for our patients, and we hope it also helps people to ensure their wishes are carried out and to go some way to putting their mind at rest.”
